Nick Knight and SHOWstudio present their debut NFT collection ikon-1 starring uglyworldwide aka Jazzelle Zanaughtti. This is the first chapter of a new and unique digital fashion project, powered by Manifold. Watch Nick Knight’s Manifesto above for a sneak peak into the future of digital fashion.

ABOUT IKON-1:
Titled ikon-1, 8,000 photorealistic avatars made in collaboration with Jazzelle – the creative polymath, model and Instagram star also known as @uglyworldwide – will act as a portal for ikon-1 NFT owners to access a new era of beauty and style in the Metaverse, pushing the boundaries of image-making.

These collectable works of art were realised by a cohort of over 30 innovators and mavericks from global fashion ecosystems working at the forefront of the industry’s future, from digital native fashion designers to world-renowned hair and make-up artists Eugene Souleiman and Marian Newman, personally curated by Knight and Jazzelle. The collection features over 200 unique traits which have been produced to curate 8,000 one-of-a-kind artworks styled by Jazzelle, further allowing them authorship over their image and personal style and, in turn, preparing each avatar for its editorial debut in the metaverse.

Once minted, each ikon-1 will have its own personal homepage with expanded views of your NFTs and the full 3D model of Jazzelle. This page will act as your gateway to SHOWstudio’s future Web3 fashion programming. From online interactive experiences starring Jazzelle to future collaborations with artists and designers, holding an ikon-1 is the only way to secure access to upcoming projects and drops.
ABOUT NICK KNIGHT:
Over a decades-spanning career, the fearless Nick Knight has consistently set his sights on the future. One of the world’s most influential and visionary fashion image-makers, Knight was an early adopter of cutting-edge technologies including 3D scanning, printing, and artificial intelligence. Knight began experimenting with 3D scanning in 1998, and soon after, Knight would transform global icons including Lady Gaga, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell into virtual beings for music videos and fashion films.

He launched his award-winning fashion website SHOWstudio in 2000 as a pioneering platform for fashion film and live broadcasting, making history in 2010 with Alexander McQueen’s collection Plato’s Atlantis; the first runway show to ever be live-streamed. The platform’s goal has always been to push the possibilities of fashion image-making forward, whilst inviting the audience to witness the entire process.

With ikon-1, Knight is leading the way in bringing the sensitivity and beauty of fashion imagery to the blockchain. ‘We’re creating the first NFT with feelings, with emotions, and with a point of view’, he explains.
ABOUT uglyworldwide:
Jazzelle Zanaughtti is a sought-after model and artist. Hailing from Chicago, they were discovered via their Instagram, @uglyworldwide, by Nick Knight. Choosing long-time collaborator Jazzelle as the muse for the ikon-1 project was based on the model’s highly curated personal appearance, both on and offline. Celebrated for their unique self-fashioned image, which seeks to defy gender stereotypes, they have appeared in world-renowned fashion publications and modelled for luxury brands including Maison Margiela, Gareth Pugh and Nike.
